Finalmente la primavera....forse!!!

Oggi finalmente dopo tanta pioggia sembra davvero una splendida giornata di primavera, ragion per cui ho deciso di dedicare questo nuovo post a questa fantastica stagione e ai suoi splendidi colori, che mi incantano sempre anno dopo anno, nella loro luminosità e brillantezza.

Today, finally, after so much rain I feel spring!! So I decided to dedicate this new post to this fantastic season and its beautiful colors, always rich of luminosity and brilliance.


[ITA] Per farlo ho deciso di mostravi alcune foto che ho scattato qualche giorno fa, il Lunedì dell'Angelo, durante la nostra Pasquetta trascorsa nel delizioso paesino di Mattinata sul Gargano.
Camminando tra le stradine di questo piccolo paese di mare sono rimasta senza parole nell'osservare i cortili dei palazzi pieni di agrumeti in piena produzione: limoni, mandarini, di varie forme con i loro colori così accesi e allegri.
[ENG] I decided to show you some pictures I took a few days ago, during our Easter morning spent in Mattinata, a charming village of the Gargano.
Walking through the small streets of this little seaside town I was astounded to observe the palace courtyards filled with orange trees in full production: lemons and mandarins of various shapes with their colors so bright and cheerful.

[ITA] Osservandoli mi sono tornati in mente i colori della splendida spilla di Cristina, un'artigiana di Perugia, in arte LetterapSy, in grado di realizzare accessori in legno dipinti davvero spettacolari, come questa incantevole spilla:

[ITA] Ma la nostra giornata non è finita qui! Dopo un giro nel paese abbiamo deciso di trascorrere le ultime ore di questa Pasquetta sulla riva del mare, pregustando odori, colori, rumori di un estate ancora lontana!!
[ENG] But our day was not over! After touring the country we decided to spend the last hours of this Easter Monday on the sea shore, looking forward to smells, colors and sounds of a summer still far away!

[ITA] Io amo il mare e il suo colore sempre cangiante!
Dunque come non amare questo splendido colletto color verde giada, della mia adorata Lucia, una fantastica artigiana bresciana?!
Ammirando le sue diversissime creazioni (colletti, berretti, accessori, colletti Peter Pan, scialli, ecc.) nel suo Etsy shop, Callmemimi, vi renderete conto anche voi di quanto sia brava la nostra Lucia.
Sono tanti gli artigiani che ho conosciuto grazie ad Etsy (e non solo!!): spero di riuscire a mostrare sempre più spesso la loro bravura e il loro enorme talento.

So as not to love this beautiful jade green collar, created by my beloved Lucy, a fantastic artisan from Brescia!
Admiring her different creations (collars, cuffs, women and men accessories, Peter Pan collars, shawls, etc..) in her Etsy shop, Callmemimi, you will realize how talented is also Lucia.
Through Etsy (and not only!) I met so many fabulous crafters: I hope to show more often their skill and their enormous talent.

[ITA]Lo sò faccio sempre promesse che non mantengo...sono proprio un disastro, ma davvero le ultime due settimane sono state molto frenetiche dal punto di vista creativo e non sono riuscita a rifarmi viva sul blog prima di stasera!! Allora per farmi perdonare ho deciso di mostrarvi non una piccola modesta selezione di weekly finds, bensì un'intera collezione di splendide creazioni ITALIANE, rigorosamente HANDMADE, sempre provenienti dal favoloso mondo di Etsy:

I know I do not always keep promises! I'm just a mess, but really the last two weeks have been very hectic (I created a lot and I'll show you the result soon!) and I could not write anything on the blog before tonight!
So I decided to forgive me, not to show a small selection of modest weekly finds, but a whole collection of wonderful ITALIAN creations, strictly HANDMADE, always coming from the wonderful world of Etsy:

Io sì perchè ritengo che ciascuna di queste creazioni rappresenti, in maniera egregia, l'enorme creatività e qualità che il nostro Paese è in grado di produrre e mostrare quotidianamente al mondo.
Come ho già sostenuto in un precedente post (che potete rileggere qui) credo fortemente che sia giunto il momento di riconoscere anche qui da noi, nel Bel Paese, quanto sia FIGO, sì proprio FIGO, possedere una creazione Handmade: perchè ti permette di indossare o far indossare ai tuoi bimbi prodotti unici, non omologati, realizzati con passione e di decorare la tua casa o la tua tavola con oggetti frutto di indiscussa capacità artistica e di estrema sapienza manuale.
Come resistere a una tale tentazione??? No, non si può.... e allora correte ad acquistare il vero Handmade in Italy in uno dei seguenti shop (l'ordine dell'elenco rispetta la sequenza, da sx verso dx, degli oggetti esposti nella mia collezione):

[ENG] Do not believe that they are all beautiful?
I do because I believe that each of these creations represent, in an excellent way, the enormous creativity and quality that our country is able to produce and show to the world every day.
As I said in a previous post (which you can read here) I strongly believe that the time has come to recognize even here, in our country, how COOL, yeah COOL, that you have an Handmade creation: because you can wear or wear your kids unique products not approved, made with passion and you can decorate your home or your table with items made with unquestioned artistic ability and extreme manual skill.
How can you resist such a temptation?? No, you can not .... and then run to buy the real Handmade in Italy in one of the following shops (the list respects the order, from left to right, of the items in my collection):

[ITA] Ciao a tutti!!!
Anche questa settimana è stato davvero arduo riuscire a trovare del tempo libero per poter scrivere un post che ho in mente ormai da qualche settimana.
Ma eccomi qui, finalmente rilassata e tranquilla sul mio divano pronta a farlo!!
E' noto, e l'ho spesso ripetuto anche nei precedenti post, che ogni inizio di anno nuovo..o forse è la fine di ogni anno nuovo?? mah...vabbè a noi ora conviene che sia l'inizio se no il post non vien bene :P...
dunque dicevamo che ogni inizio di anno nuovo è un momento per fare bilanci positivi...o negativi...dell'anno appena trascorso...e anch'io non sono venuta meno a questo rito...
ho infatti molto riflettuto (anche troppo direbbero alcuni...) su quello che è stato per me il 2012 e devo riconoscere che certamente per quanto riguarda l'esperienza di Luthien Art si è trattato di un anno positivo, ricco di cambiamenti, di crescita e di confronto con un mondo di cui non immaginavo assolutamente l'esistenza.
Le mie creazioni sono diventate sempre più  numerose, talora differenti ed estrose. Sempre più persone hanno imparato ad amarle, apprezzandole anche "da lontano" e promuovendole all'interno di "contenitori" digitali sparsi in tutto il mondo.
Ogni volta che una mia creazione è stata ospitata, linkata, pinnata in un post, board, blog, sito nazionale o internazionale questo mi ha trasmesso un'estrema gioia e fiducia nelle mie capacità e nella concreta possibilità di poter migliorare e raggiungere un numero sempre più ampio di persone....o almeno ho alimentato un pò di più la speranza che questo desiderio prima o poi si possa avverare!!
Ho deciso perciò di stendermi da sola il mio tappeto rosso dedicando questo post ad alcuni momenti che ritengo di personale successo
che aggiungere di più...

Hello everyone!
Also during this week I have not been able to find the spare time to write a post that I have in mind for a few weeks.
But here I am, finally relaxed and calm on my couch ready to do it!
It is known that the beginning of each new year .. or maybe it's the end of every new year? oh ... ok we now agree that this is the beginning or the post is useless : P ...
So I said that the beginning of each new year is a time to make budgets ... positive or negative ... of the past year ... and I have not failed in this ritual ...
In fact, I thought a lot (some would say too ...) on what was for me in 2012 and I have to admit that certainly Luthien Art has been a good year, full of changes, growth and interaction with the world that absolutely no idea existed. My creations have become increasingly numerous, sometimes different and imaginative. More and more people have learned to love them, appreciate them from afar and promoting them all over the world.
Whenever my creation was hosted, linked, pinned in a post, boards, blogs, national or international site that gave me extreme joy and confidence in my abilities and in the concrete possibility to improve and reach out to wider range of people .... or at least I fed a little more hope that this wish might come true sooner or later!
I decided, therefore, to lay down my red carpet dedicating this post to a few moments that I think of personal success

Ad accorgersi della giovane (si fa per dire :P) Luthien è la blogger Tiger di DIYORDIE della rivista online di Elleinterior SVEZIA....
Il post datato al 13 Marzo 2012 si intitola : "Cinque anelli da Etsy" e tra i prescelti....quale onore!!!..
c'è il mio anello con perline intrecciate di colore nero!!

The post dated March 13, 2012 is entitled "Five rings from Etsy" and among the chosen ones .... what an honor! ... is my ring with beads braided black!


[ITA] Il 6 Luglio 2012 Nicole, blogger from Los Angeles - California, ha deciso di dedicare un intero post nel suo very fashion blog "Luxefortysix" (Nicole nel frattempo si è trasferita su questo nuovo e altrettanto stilosissimo blog Goldopolis).
 Scegliendo di mostrare alcune delle mie creazioni Nicole le definisce veramente uniche nella loro semplicità, e per questo adatte a qualunque outfit o abbigliamento....che dire....Nicole ha perfettamente colto la vera essenza del mio stile!!
E poi essere definita una designer da una blogger di Los Angeles fa sempre un certo effetto no? Voi che dite??

Choosing to show some of my creations Nicole calls them truly unique in their simplicity, and for this reason suitable for every outfit or clothing .... what to say: its sounds great!!



[ITA] Non molto diversamente dall'effetto di vedere la propria linea di bracciali per uomo sul blog del magazine inglese "Simply Crochet".
 Il 17 Dicembre 2012 infatti la rivista ha creato un post dove suggerisce, per l'appena trascorso Natale 2012, una serie di idee e regali per uomo e tra questi il mio bracciale con la nuova serie di perline giapponesi opache dall'effetto molto simile al tessuto, adattissime secondo me ad una linea minimal adatta per tutti i maschietti.

[ENG] Not very different from the effect of seeing my line of bracelets for men on the blog of British magazine "Simply Crochet".
On 17 December 2012 the magazine has in fact created a post where they suggest for Christmas 2012 a set of ideas and gifts for men. Between various proposals is my bracelet with the new series of opaque beads from Japan. They look very similar to the fabric, suitable for all boys.

I want to be a vintage housewife

[ITA] Buonasera a tutti!!
Oggi è lunedì....n.d.r. io odio i lunedì!!!...e come buona tradizione vuole l'inizio della settimana è sempre un pò più intenso della media: sono infatti rientrata tardi a casa dall'ufficio (19:00 !!), neanche un minuto di relax e via di corsa a cucinare la cena in attesa del maritino di ritorno dalla palestra, sistemare un pò casa e finalmente a tavola per mangiare!!
L'immagine di me che vien fuori è un pò quella della casalinga disperata.....certo non questa:

Today is Monday .... Bilancio di un anno

Ciao a tutti!!
Riappaio sul mio blog dopo davvero tanto tempo di silenzio!!
Purtroppo alcuni problemi in famiglia e, successivamente, l'intensa attività pre (ma anche post!) natalizia mi hanno reso impossibile trovare tempo utile per fare un salto da queste parti, ma ho deciso di affrontare il 2013 con un obiettivo nuovo: riuscire a dedicare più tempo al blog, facendolo crescere, arricchendolo di tante notizie e novità rivolte non soltanto a Luthopika (eventi, collaborazioni, nuove collezioni) ma anche a quello di tanti colleghi creativi, bravissimi artigiani in circolazione, alcuni dei quali ho già imparato a conoscere e apprezzare!!
Ho, quindi, deciso di introdurre regolarmente nel blog il weekly finds, una selezione di oggetti, opere ispirati al mio gusto, a temi particolari o a festività e ricorrenze, ma le novita non finiscono qui!
A partire dalle prossime settimane Luthopika ospiterà idee, creazioni e progetti di artisti/designer/artigiani/creativi emergenti già conosciuti nei due precedenti anni o che avrò il piacere di incontrare nei prossimi mesi!!
Impareremo a conoscere loro e il frutto della loro creatività facendo domande, mostrando foto della loro arte e, se vorranno, del loro processo crativo.

Hello to everybody!
I return to my blog after a really long time of silence!
Unfortunately, some problems in my family and then the intense pre (but also post!) activity for Christmas gifts made ​​impossible, for me, to find time to write down everything that was happening to me...
but I decided to face the new year with a new objective: to be able to devote more time to the blog, making it grow, enriching many information and news not only addressed to my creative world, but also that of many colleagues turned to creative, very talented artisans that this year I have come to know and appreciate!
I, therefore, decided to introduce in the blog the weekly finds, a selection of objects inspired by my taste, in particular topics or holidays and anniversaries, but the news does not end there!
In the next few weeks Luthopika will host ideas, creations and projects of artists / designers / artisans / emerging designers already known in the previous two years or those artists I'll have the pleasure to meet in the coming months!
We'll come to know them and the fruit of their creativity by asking questions, showing photos of their art and, if they wish, their creative process.

in questi due anni di "attività" Luthien è cresciuta, ha imparato millemila cose nuove...ha fatto nuovi incontri, reali e virtuali, lungo il suo percorso....ciascuno di questi ha saputo insegnarle qualcosa di utile e importante (a tutti loro il mio GRAZIE!!)...
in questi due anni di "attività" Luthien è cresciuta ed è dunque un pò cambiata....
ed è per questo che Luthien ha il grande piacere di presentare a voi tutti: LUTHOPIKA !!
...un nuovo nome per un nuovo sè...più maturo...più grande...speriamo più bello...anche per voi!!
Ho perciò deciso di rinnovare il blog ribattezzandolo.
Nel prossimo post troverete tutte le novità che intendo introdurre in questo nuovo anno!
Ma ho anche deciso di ampliare l'attività di promozione su Facebook associando al profilo ridenominato una pagina tutta nuova. Qui il link alla nuova fan page:
